After serving the messenger Brahmana sent by Rukmini the Supreme Lord makes the Following enquiries from him:
SB 10.52.30: [The Supreme Lord said:] O best of exalted brāhmaṇas, are your religious practices, sanctioned by senior authorities, proceeding without great difficulty? Is your mind always fully satisfied?
SB 10.52.31: When a brāhmaṇa is satisfied with whatever comes his way and does not fall away from his religious duties, those very religious principles become his desire cow, fulfilling all his wishes.
SB 10.52.32: An unsatisfied brāhmaṇa wanders restlessly from one planet to another, even if he becomes King of heaven. But a satisfied brāhmaṇa, though he may possess nothing, rests peacefully, all his limbs free of distress.
SB 10.52.33: I repeatedly bow My head in respect to those brāhmaṇas who are satisfied with their lot. Saintly, prideless and peaceful, they are the best well-wishers of all living beings.
Purport to 10.52.33:
Śrīla Śrīdhara Svāmī explains that sva-lābha also means "achieving one's self," or, in other words, self-realization. Thus an advanced brāhmaṇa is always satisfied with his spiritual understanding, never depending on material formalities or facilities.
A truly satisfied person is alywas happy and peaceful.
When a preacher /brahman is satisfied then he can give freely to others- he can distribute knowledge- there will be know impediments in his giving.
If one is not satisfied one will first think of how to improve one's situation before giving to others.
SSPPW
Satisfied with one's lot
Saintly
Pridelessness
Peaceful
Wellwisher
The Supreme Lord is pleased and such a person is the best well wisher of everyone.
Also from 10.52.31 - "those very religious principles become his religious cow" - thus the Lord takes care of such a satisfied peron.
HH Mahavishnu Goswami has also pointed us to this verse:
3 things we should be satisfied with and three things we should never be satisfied with:
santoshas trishu kartavyah - sva-daare, bhojane, dhane
santoshas trishu na kartavyah - svaadhyaya, japa, daanayoh
There are 3 things that we should always be satisfied with and 3 things that we should never be satisfied with. We should always be satisfied with our wife (sva-daara), our prasadam (bhojana) and our wealth (dhana). We should never be satisfied with our study of scriptures (svaadhyaaya), japa and charity (daana).
